How Long should it Take Carpet to Dry After Carpet Cleaning?
Heya whats up guys~ Dave here,
Did you know that when you have a professional carpet cleaning company clean your carpets it can take as little as one hour to dry…and, according to some up to three days to dry?
According to the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, or IICRC, The certifying body for professional carpet cleaners, carpets should take about six to eight hours to dry, and never longer than 24 hours to dry. After 24 hours microbial growth (mold and mildew) can begin to grow.
No Bueno as they say.
This is why your carpet cleaner needs to have a complete carpet cleaning system and procedures that assures your carpet is dry quickly. How fast you might wonder? That depends on the carpet type, the amount of “soil” (how dirty) your carpet has, and the weather at the time of cleaning.
Sadly I have heard some horror stories with from customers about their previous carpet cleaners experiencing really long dry times. That is a inconvenience and a huge hassle for the poor customer while she waits to put her house back in order.
I do know one thing for certain, having your carpet cleaned should be a nice and stress free experience and after it is clean, you should be able to get back on the carpet and back to your regular family habits quickly… like we were never there! Some cleaning companies do not have the powerful cleaning machines, or the training and time (over scheduling) that it takes for doing the optimum work.
So remember when you need your carpet cleaned, or your furniture, hard floors like wood, marble, granite, travertine and all of the different flooring surfaces you may have, you deserve the complete satisfaction and the most thorough cleaning you will ever see.
